Geocache Description:

Placed for the 2012 Okanagan CacheFest. This part of the series will take you on Myra FSR and you will come out at Okanagan Falls FSR (or Hwy 201). I would recommend at least an SUV type vehicle (we have a Ford Escape) to access these caches.

In 2003, the Myra Canyon was devastated by the Okanagan Mountain Park Fire and nearly all of the historical trestles burned. Since the canyon is part of the Trans Canada Trail, a bypass route was cut to allow safe passage through this section. The bypass trail has been abandoned now that the whole Myra Trestle section has been rebuilt and restored to it's former glory!

Cache is placed just within the park boundaries of Myra Bellevue Provincial Park. The three year BC Parks rule will be followed. Cache will be removed or moved to another location around September 1, 2015.
