Geocache Description:

This cache is located on one of the beautiful trails behind the Grand Traverse Commons. There are 480 acres of preserved parkland available. These trails range in different degrees of difficulty. Some are for a little walk you can do with flip flops on, some for mountain biking  and some require good boots and the desire to sweat a little. This particular cache is in the latter category. You can get to it, eventually, by parking at any of the available trailheads. We park at the 'Cedar Cathedral' Trailhead and it's about a 25 to 35 minute hike...if you really go at it. Choose your trailhead by how much energy you want to expend. The cache itself is located within feet of the trail. We didn't want to put it too far off of the trail system because the slopes can be pretty slippery if you're not careful. Once you actually get to the cache it shouldn't be too hard to find, but, then again, it is a micro container and we did try to hide it a bit. The cache itself is a small black metal tube. There is only room for a small log and the end of a pencil. You may want to bring your 'geocaching field kit', i.e. something to write with, gloves,etc... Have fun!
