A great walk down from either the Beacon or the Knott. From the Beacon follow the wall to the gate, then down to the next wall and another gate, following the bridleway. Then follow the GPS to find a handy hawthorn. Some areas of the hillside show marks of previous quarrying of the limestone.
To find the cache:
Once at the tree, line up the Memorial Cross so it's just to the right of the trunk and below the lowest branch, a spoiler shows this. How far along this line is the cache? Go to the top of a vertical wall less than 25m from the tree, continuing away from the cross & tree.
