SWE: Grusgropen, eller faktiskt grusgroparna, eftersom det är två, lär varit grustag åt Såtenäs. Den västra, som är förbunden med Vänern, var under många år under 70- till 90-talet en populär badplats åt lokalbefolkningen, och vattnet höll en riktigt bra badkvalitet. Nedåt den nu igenvuxna vägen, låg en pareringsplats på höger sida. Framåt mitten av 90-talet började platsen förfalla. Troligtvis för att någon eldsjäl inte orkade hålla undan växtlighet från sandstranden och parkeringen. Den östra grusgropen var aldrig badbar. Vattnet hade ingen cirkulation och var mer av kärr. Vid stora vägen syns också storebergs stolta grindstenar.
ENG: Gravel Pit, or in fact gravel pits, as there are two, was gravel pits to Såtenäs. The pit to the west, which is connected to Lake Vänern, was for many years during the 70 - to 90-century is a popular swimming spot for locals, and the water had a really good quality for swimming.
