MainePublisher: All geocache placements must have a responsive owner. The cache owner must be able to respond to issues that come up and to submit an "owner maintenance" log to remove the "needs maintenance" icon.

In this case, Groundspeak has sent an email to the cache owner with no response. The cache owner did not respond to any of the cachers hoping to find the cache and did not respond to the reviewer note so the cache is now archived.

The cache location is now open for any Geocacher to place a new cache, including the original cache owner.

Geocache Description:

It is Smith Rd. A small country dead end in Dixmont. The cache is hidden near a rubarb plant and some apple trees. Not a far walk from the road.

A plastic light-weight container. Not a hard find. Inside are tradable items and the log and instructions in a duct tape pouch. Near the cache is a rubarb. It is in a slightly different location (and in a different type of container) than when it was originally placed. Do not worry. You are NOT on private property. This little area across from the house is town-owned, and we got permission from the Town to place it.
