These caches are located on roads? shown on Bing Maps, Yahoo Maps, & MapQuest as well as on The Magellan Explorist GC GPSr. There are many property markers and, unreadable, Lot signs throughout the area. There is plenty of BUSHWACKING required as the roads have ceased to exist. The caches are mostly placed near property stakes or lot signs.
All Co-ords where +/- 6m.
I was told that 37 years ago there would be a subdivision placed here. All that remains is the memory and the property stakes.
These caches are along a ROAD? that exists on the Magellan Explorist GC and on YAHOO MAPS, BING MAPS, & MAPQUEST. You cannot see the trails on GOOGLE or in the GEOCACHE.COM website.
BUSHWACKING is required... wear good footwear, long pants, and you will probably need bug repellant. Even on snowshoes you will find the going difficult. If you look around, you will find open areas which with a little "tacking", to use a sailer's term, may make the going easier.
Please do not "shortcut" through people's yards. This is contrary to the fun of bushwacking, and the geocaching mantra, and really is not very polite.
This whole route is not recommended for children as the path disappears regularly. Keep aware of your whereabouts… don’t get lost. If you do find yourself in trouble, head west to Route 101 or South to Sunrise Estates Subdivision (be polite because you will find yourself in someone’s backyard).
The caches are mailboxes placed waiting for the postman to come by. Since that won't happen, it remains to us to stop by.
If you notice the property stakes, mark and post the coordinates of them for interests sakes.
