This cache is located on the Twin Creeks and Browns Field Walking Track in Sydney's leafy northern suburb of Wahroonga. This bushland borders two creek lines that encircle a grassed oval which lies in the flat valley floor. This valley, unlike the typical steep sided sandstone valleys elsewhere, is more open owning its shape to the softer wearing rocks caused by a volcanic diatreme. This is just one of 150 such diatreme's in the Sydney Basin area.
The Browns Field track can be walked as a short loop or joining on to the longer Twin Creek's track. The cache is close to both so entry from either end is possible. It isn't a overly popular walking trail so can be quite overgrown in places, however the sports oval itself is often busy on Saturday's with sports teams.
The cache is a small sistema container with logbook. BYO pen/pencil.
The cache wasn't created to be difficult or overly challenging, more to take you to a hidden gem in Sydney's North. Sit down by the GZ and listen to the birds and admire this little patch of rainforest. Heavy canopy cover means the GPS coords are only averaged to 4 meters, but once you arrive at the GZ it won't take long to find
