This cache is located at the new Pinebluff Veterans Memorial just a few blocks from U.S. 1 in Pinebluff. The memorial is set back off the road a little ways in a clearing with parking on site, so muggles should not be a problem. You are seeking a camo'd matchstick container with log included, but bring a writing utensil. Enjoy, and thank you for visiting the Pinebluff Veterans Memorial!
The Pinebluff Veterans Memorial is a new memorial that was, and is still in the process of being built through fundraising efforts by the town and citizens of Pinebluff. The new memorial replaces an older, little known wooden one that honored those who served in World War II. The new memorial is dedicated to "honoring all who serve" as the inscription reads across the face of the center polished granite monument that is one of six place here with panels bearing the names of Pinebluff citizens who served their country - past and present - from the five branches of service. Displayed underneath the inscription are the five seals representing the five branches of the United States Armed Forces - the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
The final design of the memorial is still taking shape, but it may be several years before the project is finally completed, as the Pinebluff Veterans Memorial Committee continues to hold fundraisers and events to raise money for the efforts to complete the memorial. I plan on developing this cache into a larger container and choosing a more permanent hide location in the future once construction and work on the memorial is complete.
