Geocache Description:

Cache is not at the posted coordinates!

When working on geocaching puzzles, the challenge is often figuring out the method of encoding the coordinates. Once that is determined, the act of decoding each digit or word is fairly mundane. To that end, I give you Pot Luck. Each digit in the coordinates is encoded with a different method. A wide variety of fields were used in crafting the encoding methods . You will have to think outside the box to crack this one. Some digits will be easy to find, other quite difficult.

The cache is on public land and there is adequate parking. Total distance is about 2.5 miles round trip. There is also some elevation change. Please stay on the trails. All legs (it’s a multi cache) are very near established trails in this area. The final is a Lock-N-Lock .Once you have calculated the coordinates, you would be wise to download a trail map from the NY DEC (see Related Web Page). It will help you get around the area. Please be aware during hunting season as hunting is permitted on these lands.

GPSr performance is not very good in this area. Be prepared to search and use your geosense.

A geochecker has been included for your convenience and my entertainment. Once you have found the final, be sure to write down the cords for the bonus cache.
