Closest parking is on North Road, but you can also park on Gaglardi and do a loop via Nicole's and Mel's trails - returning along the Powerline Trail. Plan on a few hours if you plan to try and grab all the caches in the loop.
The Nerdfrogs love hiking around Burnaby Mountain and my kids have been travelling these trails since before they could walk. Those not familiar with Burnaby Mountain, it is a forest in the middle of the city! If you want to get out of the city for awhile, but don't have time for a lengthy drive, this is your place! Burnaby Mountain trails are popular with mountain bikers so always keep an eye out for them and step off the trail if you hear them coming - especially on the weekends. Trails here are steep in sections and rough in places, but make for a really fun and vigorous hike, even for young kids. As always, please watch for muggles before and during cache grab and always make sure to replace the cache container as you found it or better.
