Old timers know that this building was originally a bus manufacturing facility, newer locals knew it as an Auto Parts House, still more people know it as Commencement Bay Coffee, and recent visitors have known it as Native Quest. By mid November, 2012 everyone is going to be watching for another business to take it over and give it a shot. Peeking inside the hand built windows is great view of a 14 foot ceiling propped up by 14 inch square posts made of old growth Douglas Fir that makes the place look very much like a Salish Longhouse.
Native Quest and Commencement Bay Coffee will sorely be missed, but as we all know, life always has something special and new planned, so stay tuned. In the meantime, this cache is a real easy one, a bit different in container for my usual, but entirely perfect for where it is. Hope you all are able to take a few minutes and enjoy the beautiful view of the Port of Tacoma from here. Thank you EAWF for letting us adopt your caches.
