A nano in the park.
I don’t normally like nanos; they’re too little and hurt my brain, but trust me, this is an easy one.
Located in the Villages of Heart Lake, in Brampton, north-west of Toronto, this park is a great place for families to get together while the kids play in the playground. In the winter it’s a popular spot for tobogganing.
In 2011 this neighbourhood, White Spruce Estates, was one of 14 nominated for “Brampton’s Greatest Neighbourhood” award. See the article in the Brampton Guardian (unfortunately it is no longer available).
The sign near the cache site was put up to commemorate that nomination.

M C-S, who lives on Barr Crescent, wrote that her neighbourhood is a place where memories are made, residents care about each other, and celebrate each others’ joys such as a new puppy or a child’s first ride on a two-wheeler. They even have their own unofficial Mayor of White Spruce, “affectionately known as Peter the Greek,” according to her submission. “There are many, many times we walk the ‘circle’ as a family and I find myself tearing with happiness that we live in this most beautiful area of Brampton,” she wrote.
Use stealth while retrieving this cache.
People are often walking the Esker/Barr circle, or they may be in the park, or they could just be looking out their window wondering what the heck you are doing.
The log is small, so bring a fine-point pen or a sharp pencil, and be ready for some rolling.
