Geocache Description:

We shall be visiting Devizes for the August Bank Holiday weekend for a bit of a caching fest and might even pop in to help stanthews celebrate his 25th anniversary event. We shall be camping at Lower Foxhangers from Friday through to Monday and would love it if a few like minded people could come along to keep us company.

Devizes is in the middle of a very cache rich area with numerous high quality and well maintained rings, well worth a visit. And if that's not enough to entice you, there is stanthews legendary monthly meet on Saturday which should be enough on its own. But this one is special, It's his second anniversary event which promises to be even more gert lush than normal.

The campsite is a small and fairly basic campsite just off of the Kennet & Avon canal and situated at the foot of the famous Caen Hill flight of twenty-nine locks. To book please contact the campsite direct on 01380 828254, they will require a £20 deposit with the remainder paid on arrival. Unfortunately I am unclear what the rates are as we were quoted £50 for three nights which is a rather odd amount, I'll leave you to do the maths.

If you are not camping you will be welcome to come and visit on the Bank Holiday Monday morning for a brew between 10am and midday or any evening during the weekend, but if coming in the evening it's probably best to give us a call on 07952 060660 first just in case we are still out on the trail.
