Geocache Description:

Zlatibor is a mountain region situated in the western part of Serbia, a part of the Dinaric Alps.

Zlatibor is very suitable for cycling, especially for MTB, but even for road bikes (which I have) there are many convenient roads. Since this is a mountain with an altitude from 700m to nearly 1500m, you must be prepared to drive uphill or downhill, you hardly can find flat sections. The slopes goes from mild to impossible to drive (at least for me), like, for example, the slope to Tornik, where descent is also difficult due to the large gradients and sharp curves. If you have MTB you can use ski lift to climb to Tornik, and then descend using several MTB trails.

This summer a new circular bike path is constructed and marked. It have 30km and lead from village Zlatibor to Semegnjevo and back. One half of the path is paved, but the other half is macadam and dirt road. This section, unfortunately I couldn’t drive, but I crossed the paved section.

On the paved part, road passes the railway station, near which I placed this cache. This is micro cache, bring pen with you, please.
