The Southeast Missouri country side is a beautiful place to take a weekend drive, which we have done several times lately. We decided we wanted to leave a trail of caches to entice some other cachers to come out and enjoy some of the scenery we've come across "out in the country" lately.
Welcome to the historic community of Oriole! Here you will enjoy rolling hills and equestrienne scenery. Early spring brings the beauty of dogwood season, and autumn brings the brilliant yellows, oranges, and golds of fall as they flame across the sky and then fall to carpet the earth.
This cache was placed to celebrate a special occasion - the fourth anniversary of finding our first geocache! Our good friends, Team Marble from Michigan came to visit us in South Carolina and taught us to cache exactly four years ago. Now they happen to be visiting us in Missouri on our caching anniversary.
