This cache is placed at the end of the Little Sluice Box & dedicated to Rachel Gray and the people of the 60th Jeepers’ Jamboree who performed emergency services to her in a dangerous situation.
This small cache is designed for your enjoyment on your trek along the infamous Rubicon Trail. This drive takes a serious vehicle to go over the rough “roads”.
You must be wondering so here is the short version. Rachel a bubbly and delightful 21 year old lady rolled her rig off the side of Cadillac Hill going down to camp during an off day on the 60th Jeeper’s Jamboree. She sustained major injuries and was badly burnt when the fuel ignited. People risked their safety to save her and fight the resulting forest fire. She was life flighted out and faces extreme recovery difficulties. Mr. & Mrs. boodlebuggy had only know her a short time before the accident but could clearly see how thrilled she was to be here with the vehicles and event. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/rachelgray
The container is about the size of a Folsom “Tater” (river rock) nestled nicely in rocks that are at ground level from one side and chest level from the other side. It is largely exposed but wedged enough to keep it in place during the runoff. When returning, make sure it is secure but cover not more than needed.

I regret that this geocache must be edited to include the latest known information, Rachel passed the last day of August, 2012. Although filled with grief, my wife and I are confident that she is now even greater, more complete, than when we knew her along the Rubicon Trail. We pray for grace and peace for her family and friends.
