Cache # 88.
The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is a wonderful cycling trail between Wangaratta and Bright, with a side track running from Everton Station to Beechworth. The trail is suitable for road bikes.
These are essentially caches placed for cyclists using the trail. Car drivers may have to take a pleasant stroll or even a longer walk!
The cutting where this cache is placed is a cool, shady place to ride through on a hot summer's day. At certain times of the year you will find very colourful toadstools in clumps along the side - lovely red ones with white spots. Maybe you will spot a fairy or two. There are lots of pebbly rocks on the embankment covered in moss and the trees seem to meet in the middle from both sides of the track.
Please be aware that cyclists can appear quickly from either direction so take care when on the track.
As the cache is a micro it contains a log sheet only. Please bring your own PEN.
