Geocache Description:

- S P I R I T Q U E S T -
If Today Was Your Last Day

The "SQ" in the Cache Name denotes a Geocaching Spirit Quest. This designation is to distinguish Caches that are placed in Cemeteries or Memorial Gardens and have a more Spiritual Meaning than most Caches that are out in the rest of the World. These may be not be found after dark or by certain Times of Day as well as those hunting them must be more respectful of the surroundings due to the fact that these areas have residents that have passed-on and should be respected, as well as the Natural Landscape that is above Ground. The "SQ" caches were started by cachers in Northwest Ohio and has since spread to many other states as well as Canada.

Woodlawn Cemetery’s Gate Hours are:
8am to 5pm, November thru March
8am to 7pm April thru October.

If you do not heed the Sign at
the Front Gate that reads:
“Don’t Get Locked In”...

...you HAVE been warned.

This cache is significant to me, as was the original that was here, as beloved members of my family are now part of the puzzle for you to locate the final to this puzzle/multi-cache. The original Cache that was here in the now-removed landscaping was placed in honor of them, as well as the many others that have “Eternal Rest” here. Since the shrubs are now gone, so the original cache was archived and this was created as a replacement.

My family means a lot to me, as I’m sure yours does to you. My Dad, Grandma, and Great-Grandparents were wonderful people and are missed terribly by those that knew them in life.
Ironically enough, this cache published three years to the day after my grandmother passed-away.

This cache is dedicated to those who have gone before us. None of us know when our last day is upon us. If we could have one more day, what would we do with it? Would you make different choices…today....if you knew that it could be your last?

Maybe think about this…and appreciate life…now...

…because we never know in this life from moment to moment, or minute to minute…what comes along.

Just think about…what would you do…
"If Today Was Your Last Day"?

Would you forgive your enemies?
And would you find that one you're dreaming of?
Swear up and down to God above
That you'd finally fall in love if today was your last day?
~~~
If today was your last day
Would you make your mark by mending a broken heart?
You know it's never too late to shoot for the stars
Regardless of who you are
~~~
So do whatever it takes
'Cause you can't rewind a moment in this life
Let nothing stand in your way
'Cause the hands of time are never on your side
~~~
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you had?
~~~
And would you call those friends you never see?
Reminisce old memories?
Would you forgive your enemies?
And would you find that one you're dreaming of
Swear up and down to God above
That you'd finally fall in love if today was your last day?
~~~
- Nickelback "If Today Was Your Last Day"
The Puzzle:
Starting Coordinates are:
N42 26.511 W083 07.902
I have decided to make this an easier puzzle, only because the original cache was not supposed to be difficult. THIS one is a little tougher, but still should be easy for those new to Geocaching and/or anyone that has some "math challenges". The answers will be added to the post-decimal (to the right of) portions of the coordinates.
The ONE part to this puzzle that you will NOT find on-site is the following information:
The grave marker for "SFF" should also have a plate on the right-hand side that shows:
"Ida M: 1899-1989"
I'm not sure why the plate was never installed, but she IS buried here as well and her information IS part of this puzzle.
CLUE: When adding digits for this puzzle, here is the Example: 2012: 2+0+1+2 equals 5
A ) Add the four digits of the passing year for "EAR"
B ) Add ONLY the first TWO digits of her birth year
C ) Subtract "B" from "A",
Z ) Subtract the THIRD digit from "EAR" passing year from "C"
;
Add " Z " to the North Coordinates: (511 + __Z__)
D) Add all of the digits from the birth/death years INCLUDING "IDA M"s info (not shown on the marker)
E) Divide "D" by three
F) Add the digits together for "BDR" passing year
G) Subtract "F" from "E"
Y) Subtract the FIRST digit of the age of "BDR" at his passing from "G"
Add "Y" to the WEST coordinates: (902 + __Y__)
Your final now awaits.
