Una passeggiata in un parco di Rozzano

A nice walk in a park in Rozzano.

Rozzano: il parco e il laghetto (1)

Il comune di Rozzano è in provincia di Milano e pare abbia origini antichissime. Secondo diverse fonti, infatti, il nome della città deriva da quello di un antico legionario romano, Rutius oRotius, al quale furono assegnate queste terre, come spesso accadeva a compenso dei servigi prestati all'impero romano. Le due frazioni di Quinto Stampi e di Ponte Sesto confermano questa ipotesi, in quanto i nomi, come si usava nell'epoca romana,derivano dalla distanza in miglia dal centro della città di Milano.
Altri studi, però, indicano il nome del comune quale derivazione di "roggia", ovvero canale di irrigazione, vista l'abbondanza di corsi d'acqua nel territorio comunale.

Questo è il primo dei due cache nascosti all'interno del bellissimo parco che costeggia la strada statale dei Giovi e il Naviglio Pavese, caratterizzato dalla presenza di un piccolo laghetto e da un torrente che viene usato per pescare e, nonostante il divieto di balneazione, anche come refrigerio.

Note sul cache:
Si tratta di un microcontenitore mimetizzato, contenente il solo logbook. Vi preghiamo di fare molta attenzione nel maneggiarlo e considerate che la zona può essere molto frequentata.
E' superfluo sottolineare di rimettere il cache nella stessa identica posizione in cui lo avete trovato.

Rozzano: the park and the pond (1)

The town of Rozzano is located in the province of Milan and is said to have ancient origins. According to various sources, in fact, the city's name derives from the one of an ancient Roman legion, Rutius or Rotius, who had these lands assigned, as was often the case in return for the services rendered to the Roman Empire. The two fractions of Quinto Stampi (quinto means "fifth") and Ponte Sesto (sesto means "sixth") confirm this hypothesis, since the names, as used in Roman times, derive from a distance in miles from city center of Milan.
Other studies, however, indicate the name of the town as a derivation of "roggia" that means irrigation canal, given the abundance of waterways in the municipality.

This is the first of two caches hidden within the beautiful park along the main road of Giovi and the Naviglio Pavese, characterized by the presence of a small pond and a stream which is used for fishing and, despite the ban on bathing, also as refreshing.

Notes on the cache:
We are talking of a microcontainer camouflaged containing the only logbook. We plea to pay extra attention in manipulating it and consider that the area can be crowded.
It is not necessarily to say put it back in the same position you have found it.
