Geocache Description:

Head to Twin Lakes out of Buena Vista. You can camp in the San Isabel campground. Take the short road above to Mount Elbert Forebay. Hiking boots suggested and a fishing pole with worms.

The Gnome Home was established by adventurous Gnomes whose village habitat was uncovered when the lake receded. Rocky terrain and burnt embers guide the way to the Gnomes most prized possessions.  The Gnomes have taken pity on human kind for their lack of time off and simple pleasures. They decided to share their Gnome Home with only the most favorable humans who's sense of exploration and fun collide. The Gnomes especially like the spirits of kids big and small.  If you hear some scurrying behind the boulders, see the bushes rustling and have a feeling you are being watched...YOU ARE! If you get a picture of these reclusive Gnomes don't forget to post this rare event! We will be watching out for it. It's only a matter of time before the waters will rise and once again the village and it's cache treasure will be hidden in the depths. JUNE 2018 UPDATE: OH NO!!! It has been rumored Pirate Muggles have stolen the Gnomes beloved treasures and hidden them somewhere else around the lake. Do not be sad and never underestimate the clever Gnomes!! For now, watch the lake for Pirate Muggles and their ship!
