[SV] Denna cache är placerad vid Lemböte kapell, byggt på medeltiden. Här gick en gång i tiden en internationell sjöfarled förbi från Sverige till Finland och Baltikum.

[SV] Det är inte säkert när kapellet byggdes, men möjligen på 1200-talet. Här kunde medeltida sjöfarare ta iland och ta skydd för dåligt väder eller bara offra och be för en säker resa. På 1500-talet kom större skepp som seglade rakt över Östersjön och den gamla farleden och kapellet fick minskad betydelse. Kapellet förföll, men sedan 1892 har flera restaureringar utförts. Idag används kapellet ibland som gudstjänstlokal sommartid.

[EN] It is not known when the chapel was built, but possibly on the 13th century. Here medieval sailors could land and take shelter for bad weather or just offer and pray for a safe journey. On the 16th century larger ships were introduced which were able to sail straight across the Baltic sea. The old sea route and the chapel lost their importance and the chapel decayed. But since 1892 several restorations has been made. Today the chapel is sometimes used as a place of worship during summer.
