Linå Kirke var i sin tid slotskirke til Silkeborg Slot, som lå i Linå sogn indtil Silkeborg blev bymæssig bebyggelse.
Linå Kirke består af apsis, kor og skib. Skibet er blevet vestforlænget før 1600 med kvadre fra Bjarup Kirke. Oprindelige dele af Munkestenstårn er antageligt fra ca. 1590 med oprindelig mandsportal (fornem skulptur) indfældet i vestgavlen. Foran den oprindelige kvindeportal blev der i 1689 opført et kapel for slægten Fischer til Silkeborg Slot/Allinggård. Romansk døbefont (løve) og en mandshøj gotisk døbefigur (ca. 1450). Renæssancealtertavle og prædikestol fra 1616, 16-stemmers orgel fra 1985 på gammelt herskabspulpitur.

Linå Kirke consists of apsis, choir and nave. The nave has been west-extended before 1600 with ashlar from Bjarup Kirke. Original section of a mission stone tower presumably from approx. 1590 with the original mann gantry (distinguished sculpture) fayed in the west house end. In front of the original women gantry, a chapel was constructed in 1689 for the Fischer family to Silkeborg Castle/Allinggård. Romanesque font (lion) and a gothic christen figure as tall as a mann (approx. 1450). Renaissance altarpiece and pulpit from 1616 and a 16-voices organ from 1985.
At one time the church was chapel for Silkeborg Castle, which lied in the parish of Linå, until Silkeborg became urban buildings.
