Just a quick stop & grab above Jordanelle Reservoir
Jordanelle Dam is part of the Bonneville Unit of the CUP (central utah water project). Structure is 400 vertical ft. Foundation of the dam extends 100 ft below stream bed. It was built to with stand a 7.5 earthquake along the Wasatch Fault to the west and a 6.5 random quake below the dam. total surface area is 3,068 acres (over 3000 high school football fields) with a total capacity of 365,500 acre feet and an active capacity of 311,000 acre feet.
