The hunt for this medium sized cache leads you down a paved path that weaves itself through the community of Wentworth. Follow it long enough and you will end up on Old Banff Coach Road. This trail has been a part of my regular walking route ever since my son Kayden was born. Every time I’ve walked past this dry storm pond, I’ve thought that it would be a good home for a cache.
Now that Kayden is at the fun toddler stage, he has started to accompany me on my geocaching adventures. Unfortunately, his doesn’t quite grasp the concept of finding something random in the bushes and can easily get bored. So I have learned how to make the experiences best for both of us… a little bit of compromise. It is based on our two “rules” of success that I have created/placed this cache. (Incase any other cachers out there find themselves in the same situation). Our rules: 1) Look for caches that might potentially have trade items that will capture and hold his attention for more than 1 second (ie. cars!) and 2) find caches near by to a park, so Kayden can play either after/before mom gets to geocache. (There is a park just on the other side of Wentworth Drive… look south.)
In the spirit of making this cache appropriate for it’s name (and rule #1), please trade within the vehicle theme it contains.
