Geocache Description:

The photo of Whyalla below was taken circa 1939. In the top left you can see Whyalla's original golf course. As I wasn't around in 1939, I don't know the numbers of the holes, so I've placed the cache near what I assume is either the first or last hole!
The Whyalla cemetery is bordered by the golf course, as can be seen as a clump of trees between the Linclon highway and the fairways. The cleared area further on from the golf course is the original Whyalla Aerodrome - now the Whyalla Wetlands. This is a great photo of Whyalla's humble beginnings. I hope you enjoy the cache.
