Climate - When to Go

Best time to go is during the summer. If you like fishing, but the islands and the surrounding area offers year-round

 Location

The Gaidouronisia or otherwise Drenia islands as they are known, are located south-east of Ammouliani, the small island located between the second and third leg of Chalkidiki. Located so close to Ammouliani you think you can go swimming from the southern beaches of the island!

How to get there

The modes are three! All three by sea. The first two are from Ammouliani or Ouranoupoli where there are tourist boats going to the islands every day in the summer. It is very easy to locate after you see signs that advertise these cruises. We took the boat from Ammouliani who went around the island and then hang out for 5-6 hours at Gaidouronisia. The ticket costs 10 euros per person. The third way is to rent your own boat and go on your own! There are many places in Ouranoupoli renting small boats with outboard engine without a diploma on your behalf. If this is your first time, ask what you should watch and generally be very careful and not run where many vessels in the area. Particular caution is needed when approaching the coast because of the swimmers.

Refferals

Do not expect streets and cars or motorbikes on the islets. The only thing there is a path on the largest island that goes from the beach to the parking of campers and the other side of the island. We are talking about absolute peace!

Food

On the largest of the islands there is canteen and restaurant. In the canteen you can find up ice while prices for coffee and refreshing drinks are normal. We sat in the tavern not to tell you what, but we saw a lot of people to choose and the smells of fried calamari we broke his nose!
