Summary
The second wave of the Blackrock Power Trail continues the journey, this time heading south-east of Blackrock Village and along the Seapoint seafront in the surrounds of the Martello Tower. Cache 07 is at the top of Brighton Vale esplanade.
The Blackrock Power Trail Series (BRPT)
The series started its life in Idrone Terrace on Dublin Bay behind Blackrock Village and has now spread both north-west and south-east from the original Cache. Caches range from an easy 1/1 D/T through to the hardest being a 3/4.
The rules of Geocaching are such that no cache can be within 160 metres (0.1 miles or 528 feet) of another cache... so you will find that the caches in this series are generally about 200 metres apart from each other. There are also some other caches along the route that you may want to pick up as you go.
The Cache
The 7th cache in the BRPT series is a 3-inch diameter flat tub. To access this cache you have to make a decision whether you will approach from the land-side or sea-side of the wall. The land-side approach is an easier terrain but increases the difficulty of the find and beware of the muggles directly across the road looking through their rather large pane glass windows. The sea-side approach is more discreet and an easier find, but the terrain is much more difficult and is subject to the tides (and your physical height).
When placing the cache I approached from the land-side. BUT… I knew where I was looking 
One point to note… if doing this cache on foot from Blackrock Village, there is easy access to GZ across a little known path and footbridge leading from Seapoint Parade onto Brighton Vale esplanade. You don’t need to go via the Martello Tower entrance.
