At the time of initial publication there was a shortage of caching series in this part of Kent, and this small series was an attempt to begin to rectify this situation. The caches are intended to be completed in a single walk, and the route can be undertaken in either direction. A waypoint is provided for the Holly Hill car park at cache 1, and I suggest the walk is started from there. Facilities include car parking and, well, that’s it really, just parking but it is free. Note there is a height restriction (as pointed out by RubyShoos) of 2.0m. Any other facilities you may need will have to be found en route. Also note the car park is locked 30 minutes after dusk. There are limited other points on the route for parking, although it is possible to park in Harvel, but this would entail a second visit to Holly Hill at the end of your walk, as the bonus is near Holly Hill.
In summer insect repellent is strongly recommended (See logs in July).
Update 10 July 2010:- Extension of 8 caches added. This stretch is nice walking.
Update 12 August 2010: - Cache 11 moved due to some concern over its position. As a result I have had to extend the route by almost half a mile, and it will be necessary to walk a few hundred meters along a country road. To relieve any boredom on this stretch I have slotted in a couple more micros (11A and 11B).
Update 2 December 2011: - Five additional caches have been shoehorned in between others. The route remains the same and there is no additional mileage.
Update 24 August 2012:- Route from cache 11B to cache 15 moved away from Wrangling Lane due to new fencing preventing access to cache 14 from 13B. The five caches 12, 12A, 13, 13A, 14 are archived and replaced with caches 12 New, 13 New, 13A New, 14 New, 14A New. Overall distance unchanged.
Remember to collect the numbers at each cache for the bonus coordinates, and also to bring a pen. Enjoy your walk.
