Cotati Geocaching Challenge


Environmental FINAL



Hello and welcome to the Cotati Geocaching Challenge! Designed to encourage tourism and get people out of the house and into the city, the Cotati Geocaching Challenge requires participants to travel all over Cotati finding Geocaches sponsored by the City of Cotati. You can find the Geocaches in the Challenge in any order. Every cache in the Challenge contains a rubber stamp and a stamp pad. You can find the full instructions and the stamp sheet here.

A Letterbox Hybrid is a type of Geocache that combines the sports of Geocaching and Letterboxing. In this Letterbox Hybrid, you will start at the posted coordinates. From there you will follow the instructions below.

This cache will show you a couple of Cotati's commitments to the environment, as well as let you feel like you're in the wilderness, even in town:

• Start at a location that is not a tree, but is where you might find a few leafs.
• Make like a birdwatcher and look for an eagle. Head toward it.
• Right before reaching the eagle, to the left is a passageway. Walk through the portal.
• When you see a curved yellow line, turn left.
• Time to spot another tree. Look for and head to the nearest Eucalyptus.
• Now look for twin flagpoles. Walk toward and past them.
• Just beyond them you will find a pillar that seems to hold up the roof. At the base of it you will find the cache. It contains the last stamp you will need.
• Finally, enter through the first doors to the right after the poles. The person inside will take your completed Stamp Sheet. If you haven't completed the Challenge, don't turn in your sheet. Please make sure the fields at the bottom have been filled out.

I will retrieve the completed stamp sheets every few weeks, and send you an email with your certificate.
