The posted coordinates are the first stop in a loop.
To find the cache you will need to take a brief trip to view local barn quilts to determine the final coordinates.
The Barn Quilt Loop
You will be viewing 10 Barn Quilts on the loop.
A barn quilt is a design painted on a wooden board typically 4’ x 4’ or 8’ x 8’.
Barn Quilts are displayed on a Barn, Shed or Commercial Structure.
The designs draw their inspiration from a single quilt blocks used to make quilts.
These distinctive displays are noted for being colorful, varied and incorporate a geometric design.
In Fayette County, there are currently more than 70 Barn Quilts proudly displayed!
Please NOTE:
You will NOT need to leave your vehicle to observe the barn quilts.
Each location simply requires you to pull over to the side of the road.
Please DO NOT enter the property of the Barn Quilt owners.
Difficulty / Terrain
The Difficulty of the multi-cache does take some time so is assigned a 2.
The Terrain is not handicapped accessible so is assigned a 1.5
The Difficulty and Terrain for the Final Cache location would be a 1.5 / 1.5
To Determine the Final Coordinates:
At each location observe the barn quilt.
It may be across the road from the designated coordinates.
Select the appropriate answers and do the math to come up with the appropriate digit to place in the Final Cache Location below.
If the numbers add up to a double digit number, drop the first digit and use only the second.
