Im Juni des vorigen Jahres musste das überstürzte Kruzifix, welches seit 1962 vom Piz Miara Gipfel auf Wolkenstein hinunter sah, abtransportiert werden. Der 2.965 m hohe Gipfel war und ist ein beliebtes Ziel für die Klettersteiger und kann mit der Begehung desPößnecker Klettersteigs erreicht werden, dieser gehört zu den am meist begangenen Klettersteigen.
Das Erlebnis fängt auf dem Sellajoch auf 2.240 m an, man geht nordwestlich unter den drei Sellatürmen auf gutem Weg bis zu der grau-schwarzen, wasserüberronnenen Wand. Auf dem mit Drahtseilen, Eisenbügeln und Klammern gesicherten Weg geht es steil und ausgesetzt hinauf zu einer kesselartigen, großen Schuttstufe. Über das große Terrassenband auf etwa 2.700 m, das den Sellastock umzieht, gelangt man zum letzten Teil des Klettersteiges. Nach einer gut gesicherten Schlucht erreicht man die schuttbedeckte Hochfläche des Sellastockes. Der Pößnecker Klettersteig zählt auch zu den anspruchsvollsten und ist einer der ältesten in den Dolomiten: 1912 gebaut, feiert er somit heuer sein 100-jähriges Jubiläum. Heuer wird auch das neue Kruzifix aufgestellt, das die Kletterfreunde wieder am Piz Miara begrüßen und beschützen soll.
11 m hoch ist das neue Kreuz und wird zusammen mit dem von Ivan Lardschneider geschnitzten Christus (3,25 m) am Sonntag den 15. Juli um 9:30 Uhr vor dem Kulturzentrum „Tublà da Nives“ in Wolkenstein eingeweiht. Bis zum Sonntag 15. Juli läuft im „Tublà da Nives“ auch eine Fotoausstellung mit Artikeln über die Geschichte des alten Kruzifixes, wobei das alte Kruzifix selber auch im Saal ausgestellt ist. Die Ausstellung ist von 17 bis 19 Uhr und von 20 bis 22 Uhr offen. Das ganze Projekt wird von der Jugendgruppe Wolkenstein koordiniert. Diese hatte auch damals 1962 das alte Kruzifix aufgestellt.

Dal 1962 in poi il famoso crocifisso vegliava dalla cima del Piz Miara su Selva Gardena, poi nel giugno dello scorso anno è dovuto essere trasportato a Selva perché spezzato e danneggiato dal tempo.
La vetta del Piz Miara, alta 2.965 m era ed è unameta ambita degli amanti della montagna e può essere raggiunta salendo la Ferrata delle Mèsules che è una delle più frequentate. Dal Passo Sella, 2.240 m, si attraversa sotto le tre Torri del Sella seguendo un buon sentiero fino alla parete di colorazione nero-grigiastra e molto bagnata. Ora la via ferrata attrezzata con funi metalliche, manici in ferro e ganci ci porta ripidamente e in maniera esposta fino ad una grande conca di detriti. Attraverso la grande cengia a quota 2.700 m che circonda il massiccio del Sella, si arriva all’ultimo tratto della via ferrata. Dopo aver percorso una gola ben attrezzata, si raggiunge l’altipiano coperto di detriti del massiccio del Sella. La ferrata delle Mèsules è ancora oggi una delle più impegnative e la più antica tra le vie ferrate delle Dolomiti.
Costruita nel 1912 quest’anno festeggia il suo centenario. Sempre quest’anno viene anche innalzato il nuovo crocifisso che accoglierà gli amanti della montagna al Piz Miara. La croce che misura 11 m viene benedetta assieme al Cristo di 3,25 m scolpito da Ivan Lardschneider, domenica 15 luglio alle ore 9:30 davanti al centro culturale “Tublà da Nives” a Selva Gardena. Fino a domenica resta aperta nel Tublà da Nives la mostra di fotografie e di articoli di giornale del vecchio crocifisso di Piz Miara: ogni giorno dalle ore 17 alle 19 e dalle ore 20 alle 22. Anche il vecchio crocifisso è esposto. Il progetto è stato organizzato dal gruppo giovanile Jeuni de Selva.
