The Northern New Jersey Cachers ( NNJC ) will host The 8th annual Geocachers of the North East ( G.O.N.E. ) caching and camping event. This year's theme is "USA ~ A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION YEAR"
This being a USA election year and there are many various political parties in the United States, lets celebrate the freedoms we enjoy in the USA and all join in the best policital party; The Geocaching Party!
Everyone, NNJC MEMBERS AND NON MEMBERS are welcome to come join in the fun!
The G.O.N.E Event has become a fall geocaching tradition in Northern New Jersey for the past 8 years when it started in 2005.
Geocaches for all over the North East have come and enjoyed this camping event. The G.O.N.E. Event is fun filled with many activites: Geocaching, new caches will be available by Saturday, camping, participating in a fun scavenger hunt, fishing (catch/release only with NJ license), hiking, dining, gathering around the council campfire and sharing caching stories with fellow geocachers.

LOCATION: Camp Jefferson, Jefferson Township, NJ
WHEN: Friday - 5 PM 9/28/12, through Sunday, 9/30/12 (For Campers)
DAY EVENT: Saturday, September 29th, 2012 Starts 10 AM for those not camping, stay as long as you want, all day into the night. UPDATE: WE HAVE INCLUDED ALL DAY SUNDAY TOO!
PICNIC MEALS: Lunch and Dinner will be available. MORE INFROMATION WILL FOLLOW REGARDING FOOD, PLEASE CHECK BACK.
NIGHT TIME: We will have a large campfire after dark, Bring the s'more and treat yourself to that roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker! yum!
CAMPERS: There are some cabins available, you will need an air mattress or cot, this will be on a first come first serve, otherwise there is also plenty of family tent sites available. More info on registering will follow.
ENTERTAINMENT: Camp Jefferson has a very nice amphitheater, If you are interested in bringing a movie and equipment, your band, guitar, sax, or comedy stand up routine, the stage is all yours. Please volunteer to entertain your fellow Geocachers! all suggestions welcome!
Mark you calendars, come for the weekend, or stop in on Saturday day or evening to see your fellow geocachers, have a meal or some s'mores by the fire!
We do need G.O.N.E. Pre-Event and Event volunteers to make this event successful!
Pre-Event ~ We are in need of a printer who can handle the printing / copying of event handouts, Promotion help, event caches.
Event ~ registration, kitchen help, meal coordinator, campfire, fire wood gathering, entertainment, clean up, these are just to name a few.
