Zen Path Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: From the Northern Region Office, New Jersey State Parks Department:

Over a year ago New Jersey enacted a policy that all geocachers must obtain a permit to have their cache on State Park property. We have informed all geocaching host that this is their responsibility and have given them ample time to go about getting their permits. At this time, over a year later, there are still several caches that haven’t complied.

We ask that as the land managers for the attached properties we would like to have these illegal caches removed.

Based on the list provided by the state, I am forced to archive this listing. If you have a permit, get a permit or don't believe your cache is on state park/forest land, please contact me via email. Make sure you include the GC code.

If you don't plan to get a permit, please remove your geocache so it doesn't become geo-trash.

Geocache Description:

The cashe is at the closed Rock View Golf Course, and it is across from Rockview Valley Campground.

The cashe is placed at the beginning of a zen like path of maple trees.  I passed the golf course regularly as a child as my Aunt lived on Mashipacong Island in the Delaware River.  My parents lived in Shohola Falls, Pa, and we would travel past the course on our way to or from my Aunt's house.  The course closed down quite a few years ago, and the State and Forest Service have taken over the land.  My mother, my twin boys, my dog, and I visit the area sometimes to explore.  Nature has begun to reclaim the area, but you can still clearly see the parking area, golf cart paths, and some of the sand traps.  The cashe is full of small swag items and it contains a travel bug that I picked up a week ago at another cashe that I visited.  Explore the area and walk past my cashe; after finding it, to what must have once been a very tranquil path.  Enjoy! There is plenty of room here for more cashes.
