Kawashima Yoshiko, "beautiful woman dressed as a man"

Kawashima Yoshiko (1907 - 1948) was born as the Imperial Family of the Qing Dynasty.
It became the adopted daughter of Kawashima Naniwa (Japanese) which was the father's adviser, and received education in Japan.
At the time of a high school student, she emigrated to Asama-Onsen in Matsumoto from Akabane in Tokyo, and went to the Matsumoto girls high school (present Matsumoto Arigasaki high school) as an auditor.
To the school, she rode and went to school on the horse gallantly from the house every day.
The place with a house remains in Asama-Onsen still now.
Attempted suicide trouble is caused, and it cuts the hair short, and comes to be disguised as a man at the age of 17.
Since the written commitment document of "deserting a woman" was published at the newspaper, it comes to be widely taken up by mass media and comes to be called "beautiful woman dressed as a man" to it.
A little social phenomenon is created -- imitate Yoshiko, and the woman who cuts the hair short appears, or the woman set to fan throngs.
Then, she married Mongolia fellows general's son, Yoshiko who was divorced in about three years and went over Shanghai comes to be concerned with the espionage in Shanghai.
However, it was soon arrested by the Republic of China government after the war, and was imposed on death-by-shooting punishment on March 25, 1948.
Her ashes were taken over by the Japanese priest and buried in the grave of the Kawashima family in Shorinji Temple of the Matsumoto city.

川島 芳子(1907年-1948年）は、清朝の皇族として生まれ、本名は愛新覺羅顯㺭（あいしんかくら けんし）といいます。
父の顧問だった、川島 浪速（かわしま なにわ）の養女となり、日本で教育を受けました。
川島の転居にともない、東京赤羽の川島家から長野県松本市の浅間温泉に移住し、
松本高等女学校（現在の長野県松本蟻ヶ崎高等学校）に聴講生として通学していました。
女学校へは毎日自宅から颯爽と馬に乗って通学したそうです。自宅のあった場所は、現在も浅間温泉に残っています。
17歳で自殺未遂事件を起こして断髪し、男装するようになります。
女を捨てるという決意文書が新聞に掲載されたため、マスコミに広く取り上げられるようになり「男装の麗人」と呼ばれるようになります。
芳子の真似をして断髪する女性が現れたり、ファンになった女子が押しかけてくるなど、ちょっとした社会現象を巻き起こします。
その後、蒙古族の将軍の息子と結婚しますが、3年ほどで離婚し上海に渡った芳子は、上海での諜報活動に関わるようになります。
しかし、戦後間もなく中華民国政府によって逮捕され、1948年3月25日に銃殺刑に処されました。
彼女の遺骨は日本人僧侶によって引き取られ、松本市の正麟寺にある川島家の墓に葬られました。
