Geocache Description:

You are looking for a lock-n-lock box just a few paces from the trail/road. Nice trail/road to hike along in any season. Parking is provided in a dirt lot at the intersection of Spencer and Hampden Roads.  Coords are  N 42° 00.690 W 072° 21.828. You must park at parking coords at the end of the road or risk getting a ticket.

Shenipsit State Forest is a Connecticut State Forest and is located in northeastern Connecticut with parcels scattered between Somers, Ellington and Stafford along with its headquarters there. The forest is popular with hikers and mountain biking enthusiast and is an active forest in terms of timber harvesting. Nearby attractions are Shenipsit Lake and Shenipsit Trail. This cache is located within a little known section of this State Forest, I wish you many happy discoveries. You are looking for a lock-n-lock box just a few paces from the trail/road. Nice trail/road to hike along in any season. You must park at parking coords at the end of the road or risk getting a ticket. You may encounter a few Boy Scouts please respect their camping event. Always wear your orange, during hunting season just incase. If you are into mountain biking give it a try. You may even pass a few equestrians along the trail.
