Geocache Description:


Yellow bellied sapsuckers nest in Manitoba but don't stay for the winter.  It is more likely that you would have seen the traces left by this tree clinger than that you actually would have seen this elusive bird.  Sapsuckers drill holes in the bark of trees so that they can feed on both the sap that oozes and the insects that are attracted to it.  Read about the yellow bellied sapsucker.
