This is a small cache in a camouflage bag that is located on a segment of the Centenary Way between Sandon and Springfield. This stretch runs in-between the busy industrial areas of Springfield Lyons and Sheepcotes.
This footpath runs between industrial units that have been built (and are in the process of being built) on the land of the former Springfield Lyons Estate and Sheepcotes farm. Close to the location is a WW2 Vicker Machine Gun emplacement and a short walk away is the remains for a late bronze age causewayed enclosure.
The WW2 Gun Emplacement here is part of the GHQ Stop line which ran from the Somerset to Yorkshire and was designed to protect London and the industrial heartlands of England from the expected German invasion.
This path is generally quite but is used by dog walkers and the odd office muggle out for a jog at lunchtime.
The initial contents of this cache (in addition to a pencil and a logbook) are a Purple Wyvern "bug", dice eraser and a badge for first to find.
