There Once Was a Cache from Nantucket Traditional Cache
Atomhugger: This cache has had a good run. Since I have moved from Seattle and cannot keep it maintained, it is time to archive this one. Thanks to everyone who shared their poetry skills!

There once was a cache from Nantucket,
That was so well-hid where I stuck it
That no clueless muggle,
Without a big struggle,
Could find the container and chuck it.
Limericks are fun, but can be a real challenge to write. Here's a chance at showing off your skills as a poet while logging that smiley!
As a fun, optional exercise for this cache, you are encouraged to make up a Limerick poem and post it in your "found it" log. Information about the structure of Limericks can be found in the related web page. And if you need some inspiration to get started, you might just find it at a nearby business...
Note that the poem is not a requirement for claiming a "find;" it is merely a fun exercise, and a way of showing off your rhyming skills! Bonus points are awarded for funny poems, and poems about Geocaching. If your entry is funny or creative enough, you might just make the Geo-Limerick Hall of Fame! :-)
Break a leg!
Congratulations to Curious Joe for the FTF!

Prying Pandora and I
For a cache run at lunchtime went bye
We found with no struggle
After waiting for a muggle
Then off to the next we did fly!

In Wallingford I went a-jogging
And soon this new cache I was logging
But the heat made me wilt
So I jogged to Full Tilt
And now some ice cream I am hogging

A fast grab I did have in mind,
And quickly I did make the find,
I got me my fix,
Now heading to Dick's,
A root beer float I am sorta inclined.

There once was a family from Seattle,
Who wanted to cache sans battle,
To save themselves trouble,
They planned in a huddle,
Then found it and will never tattle.

We went for this cache in the night.
Our compass was steering us right.
Dark and rainy, you bet,
and dang we got wet.
The smilie was found with our light.

We live in a land that is cold
Where Vikings once ruled, I am told
We traded skull-smashing
For fun geocaching
And TBs, as precious as gold!

There was once was a cache that I highly
Recommend to the clever and wily.
I struggled, then--wham-o!
Discovered the camo
And happily left with a smiley.

We went for this cache after work.
Upon finding it, we went berserk.
We danced, we leaped,
We pranced, we beeped.
We did everything but to twerk.

| Special thanks to DM&K Cachers, whose funny Limerick is not quite fit for publication. |
