Geocache Description:

Right on the banks of the Housatonic River on the mouth of Long Island Sound, this cache can be found on the grounds of Stratford's Animal Control Facility which is the base for Stratford's Animal Control Officer's and the temporary home for Stratford's homeless animals. Stratford Animal Control impounds over 600 animals and has over 5000 visitors annually. Volunteers spend time at the Animal Control Facility to socialize, exercise and train animals to make them more adoptable to the public. Animals here are available for adoption. Stop in and say hello to the animals while visiting this cache site. You may also take a stroll on the Greenway Paths which circle around the facility. This cache was placed with permission of the property manager. FTF will get a $50.00 Gift Certificate to Restaurant.com.
