Geocache Description:

Congrats to ooputtytat and W7IPA for co-FTF.

Park at the playground and take the path to an Eagle Scout project. BYOP.

New container, back in the original sneakier location. Tree cover will make it challenging to get accurate coordinates, but the posted coordinates should get you close to the cache. Then, let geosense take over. No bushwhacking is needed.

Use stealth as best you can. It's not easy. The cache is in full view of a house nearby. It will be hard to tell if anyone inside the house might watching you. I assume there is, so don't worry about it. Also watching you could be muggles who hang around closer to the creek and barbecue areas. I've never seen anyone actually playing bocce ball here, but you'll obviously have a tough time being stealthy of there are bocce players at the court. Watch for muggles in the picnic area by the creek.

This originally was the first in a series of caches I created to honor Eagle Scouts, a fraternity I had the honor to join in 1980 as part of Troop 708 in Castro Valley, CA. This was #1 in a planned geocache series, but I haven't yet added another (#2). Stay tuned...

Throughout the USA there are similar Cache To Eagle series of geocaches that acquaint geocachers with Eagle Scout projects and other aspects of Scouting. There are about 2 million deceased and living Eagle Scouts worldwide. About 2 percent of all Scouts attain Scouting's highest rank. Once an Eagle Scout, always at Eagle Scout.
