Something Fishy Going On In Brixham Traditional Cache
Westwardho!: I really would love to know how a magnetic cache painted black and at ground level and curve shaped to fit a lamp post, ends up being bent the opposite way with the log showing outwards to the elements and muggles, also causing it to be no longer magnetic and placed head height behind a cable tie....some people aren't playing by the rules obviously [:(!]. Anyway I think the ghosts and myself have had enough...archive.

THE BLACK HOUSE
Something fishy going on in Brixham...indeed, and it's not down at the harbour side.
The Black House in Milton Street was built in the 14th century and originally used to house monks while the nearby St Mary's Church was built.
Now it's one of the most haunted places in Devon, where doors slam and lock themselves, footsteps can be heard inside the house, horses hooves can be heard outside as if on cobblestones even though it's a grass lawn, the owners have been locked out and strange lights have been seen by onlookers.
In the 16th century the son of Squire Hilliard fell in love with a local girl but the Squire decided that she was not good enough for him so he arranged for her to marry someone else. Distraught at the sight of seeing his love in the arms of another the son sadly hung himself taking his own life. The Squire is said to wander about the house still seeking his son's forgiveness.
Yours truly has been working next door in Black Friars House, and I can confirm that when part of the lawn was removed that there were indeed cobblestones underneath. In the top attic room there was a small door which led through to the Black House...don't worry it had been boarded up. I didn't hear any knocking noises...but then again I was working in the daytime with a load of noisy builders...would I want to be alone there at night ?..........No I really don't think I would !
For added atmosphere why not do this on a stormy night.
The cache is not on any private property, stealth will be required at all times. I don't recommend you cache and dash it as there are double yellow lines all around and you will cause an obstruction, it is also a bus route and can be narrow nearby. Instead park nearby up the road and walk down. So a bit of respect is needed for the people who live nearby.
No room for swaps or trackables.
