This is the fourth in the series of KenKen™ puzzles. The other puzzles in this series are Mathdoku - Easy, Mathdoku – Medium, Mathdoku - Hard and Mathdoku - (less) Hard. These puzzles are a combination of logic and basic math.
I was surprised to see that out of the Mathdoku series puzzles that Mathdoku - Hard had the combined Favorite points of Mathdoku - Easy and Mathdoku – Medium. I assume this is because "Hard" is just the right level of difficulty that makes this type of puzzle fun and personally rewarding.
Like the previous Hard puzzle, the mathematical operation is not provided. To solve this puzzle, you need to determine both the mathematical operation (+, -, *, or /) in each group and the number in each square.
But wait, there’s more! To thwart the on-line solver, I have added a twist. I think this makes the puzzle easier to solve by hand and others, including our local KenKen™ expert, have confirmed this to be the case.
Like the previous Hard puzzle, the puzzle grid is also a 6x6. The difference is that the number 1 is not used and the number 7 has been added. In other words, the six numbers used to fill in the squares are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
There is room for very small trade items and GC's. Don't forget to bring your pen.
Enjoy and most of all have fun!
