Geocache Description:

MKBW : Orange 08 - Orange Free State

The Milton Keynes Boundary Walk is a circular walk approximately 65 miles long around the boundary of the Milton Keynes Unitary Authority; it is waymarked with the Oakleaf symbol.

In 2012 a group a local geocachers divided the walk into sections and set a series of over 300 caches along the boundary.

More information about the walk and caches can be found at the website Caching the Boundary.

The Orange section of the walk is approximately 6 miles long and starts in Salford, Bedfordshire and winds its way southwards, finishing where the MK Boundary Walk crosses the A5 trunk road, near Little Brickhill, Buchinghamshire. The Orange section takes in parts of the Greensand Ridge Way, the Woburn Walk and crosses several Golf Courses.

There are 28 caches in this section (plus a Bonus) and each cache contains a letter to help you find the Orange Bonus cache, which is hidden near the middle of the section. There are only 10 different codes to find, so each one occurs several times in the series.

There are a number of other existing caches on or near the route; these include Shiver me Timbers (GC28HRP), Brass Band of MK - Woburn Sands Band (GC2GR3K), Aspley Pit (GC1Y2E7) and Greenlane Car Park - Connection (GC2N573), and who knows there may be a puzzle cache or two nearby as well.

This stretch of the Boundary Walk goes across a Golf course. Keep a good lookout for Golfers and flying Golf Balls. Please keep Dogs under close control on the Golf Course.
