Haggis Highway: Flagstones Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Highland Haggi: This cache has lasted well but sad to say has defo gone missing today when checking. Sad to say that 2 TB's were in the cache and obviously gone too. Will recheck this again at a later date in the hope of finding them but I don't think so. Have contacted the owners to make them aware.
Will let this cache go as there are plenty others in this area.

Geocache Description:

Part of the Haggis Highway trail and part of a series of events as shown below, please do not look for or log this cache before Friday 5th October.

Thank you and happy caching from the Highland Haggi team.

To celebrate the creation of this section of the Haggis Highway events will take place on 5th, 6th and 7th October 2012.

The events are as follows:
Wick ~ Bar Blether GC3PQ71 - Friday 5th October from 19:00
Wick ~ Dinner GC3PQ89 - Saturday 6th October from 17:00
Dunbeath ~ Lunch GC3PQ8R - Sunday 7th October 10:00~12:00

This cache is place so that you can see Dunnet Sands and (on the hill) The House of the Northern Gate (big white house).
The House of the Northern Gate was where Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, went on holiday in 1953 with friends who owned it. Whilst there she spied the towers of Barrogil Castle. (3 miles away) She arranged to view it, bought it and renamed it the Castle of Mey.......the rest is history!

The cache is a small box with a FTF card, logbook and small swap.
