English: From this point, there is a terrific view to Skjoldnæs Fyr (lighthouse) in south-southwestern direction. The cache can be accessed from the beach or from the road, in either case a bit of light climbing is required.
English: No matter which way you choose, there are lots of beautiful views and nature to look at on you way to the cache.
If you choose to walk along the beach, it is possible to to pass "maderne", the coastal meadow lakes at the western tip of the island. Just respect the signs about the breeding season, april 1st - july 15th. From the ferry harbour, follow the beach towards west, then follow the road through the meadow, and from Skallevej take the path through maderne. This area has a rich population of birds, amongst them some rare species. Back on the beach, continue towards the cache.
If you take the road, you will pass one of the islands two may poles - this ancient tradition is almost gone, but is still kept en a few of the small islands in this area. Later you will pass the wind generator, which produces power for the island. Nearing the cache, you may get lucky to see or hear the fire-bellied toad, which is living in the waterholes in this area, owned by the danish state.
From the cache, you can see Drejø to the east, Skjoldnæs to the south and Lyø to the west.
The cache originally contains painted beach stones to trade, please bring a permanent marker and produce your own stone to trade! :)
Enjoy the hunt :)
