Cowboy was able to get a grubstake by selling off a few McPhee jewels he had picked up around the lake. He needed provisions in the worst way. He was down to his last bit of coffee, a handfull of beans and some dried jerky he got off the trail drive he visited.. Cowboy road into Cortez to stock up on supplies at the general store.
The cache is a small container wth McPhee jewels, a few other pieces of swag and a log
This is an extremely busy location so watch for mugglers. Best time to avoid most of them is early or late.
