The eighth of the Gare Hill Ring of caches.
The whole walk is approx 3.5km.
Small container - please rehide out of sight.
Please ensure container doesn't break.
Return to path.
At fork turn right, continue up hill.
Telegraph wires should be running parallel to you, off to your left.
Between 9A and 10A is the cache! These cables and the tree cover seems to REALLY mess up GPS locations (especially if using a phone or low-power GPS device). You have been warned.
Gare hill is one of the highest points of land in this area.
In fact, it forms a line of the highest points from the furthest southwesterly point in Cornwall.
This means that on one side of Gare hill (the side you are walking on) the water runs away and gradually makes its way to the English channel,
but water falling on the other side of the hill will work its way to the Bristol channel!
I'm currently looking for people who might be able to help look after my caches whilst I'm away undertaking a doctorate. If you think you might be able to help, please do let me know by contacting me at geocachingjohn@googlemail.com (If you can't help maintain them long term, it would be wonderful if you could take along some spare logs/pencils/etc. to keep these caches alive, just in case)
