This cache will take you to an 18th century monument known locally as ‘The Gazebo’, built as a folly by Sir John Palmer who then resided at Castlelacken Demesne. If the weather is clear you can enjoy fine views of Donegal, Sligo and of course Mayo which would be hard to miss.
To get there you can drive up to a nearby quarry and park just past the entrance so as not to cause obstruction or if hiking along the newly sign posted trail, you must make your way to this waypoint called trailhead. From here it’s obvious where you must go.
Please reseal and replace properly as you found it. Thanks
