There are many arbutus trees along this island lakeshore and you are on the lookout for a giant, old, semi-hollowed arbutus leaning away from the road at about a 40 degree angle! There is a gravel pull-out just past this spot on the same lake side of the road. No need to go down the slippery embankment! Beware of passing vehicles! Please rehide carefully!
* On the day this cache was hidden a key word search for "arbutus" on geocaching.com revealed 32 existing caches ranging in location from British Columbia (by far the most!) to Michigan, Wisconsin, Washington, Alberta and Portugal (3!)!
