This is the 14 Leadership Traits series that follows Vandegrift Blvd from Papagallo Dr to College Blvd. You can get over 50 caches in not too much distance (on a bike) if you start near Luiseno Park and follow this trail to the SLRRNT, and then loop back around the SLRRT. The 14 Leadership Traits are taught to every Marine recruit and are good traits to be successful in life as well as in the military.
Bearing
Definition - Creating a favorable impression in carriage, appearance, and personal conduct at all times.
Significance - The ability to look, talk, and act like a leader whether or not these manifestations indicate one’s true feelings.
Example - Wearing clean uniforms, boots, and collar devices. Avoiding profane and vulgar language. Keeping a trim, fit appearance.
